Smart Pill Caps Take Advantage of Social Networking - GlowCap Connect

This is one example where the advances of technology can really make a difference by saving lives. The product I am referring to is called GlowCap Connect made by a company called Vitality. GlowCap Connect are caps that purportedly fit onto standard prescription bottles and give personal reminders to users so they do not forget to take their medications.  The personal reminders are in the form of a flashing light and melodies. There is even an option for a call to your home. Even better there is also an optional social network feature that sends weekly updates to a friend, family member or caregiver.

Step-by-step instructions to connect facebook and twitter.

Many people have asked me how I connected my twitter feed to my facebook account. Below I have outlined the steps to make this happen:

Step 1: Log into Facebook

Step 2: Once logged in search for the Twitter application or it can be accessed directly at the following URL: http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=2231777543.

Step 3: Add the 'Twitter' Facebook Application

Step 4: Choose your preferred settings and click 'Add Twitter'.

Step 5: Enter Your Twitter Login Information. Note: Your login info is 100% safe as this application is made available exclusively by Twitter for Facebook.

Step 6: KEY - Choose to have Twitter update your Facebook status. 

Step 7: Allow and Authorize Access for Twitter to Facebook.

After following the above steps every time you update your twitter account with a tweet, your facebook status will update automatically!

Twitter Demographics

Very surprising statistics regarding Twitter. 

• Males make up 63% of Twitterers
• California residents account for more than 57% of Twitter's visitors
• Twitter's largest age demographic is 35-to-44-year-olds who make up 25.9% of its users.
• 14.7% of Twitter visitors are type H03 a.k.a the "Stable Career," comprising a "collection of young and ethnically diverse singles living in big-city metros like Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Miami." The Stable Career tends to work in the arts and entertainment industry, drive small cars and espouse very liberal political views.
• 12.3% of Twitter's visitors are H01 a.k.a. the "Young Cosmopolitan," 40-somethings likely to drive a Prius, earn household incomes over $250,000 per year and also identify with very liberal politics.

 There is data that contradicts the above information, however the common factor and key takeaway is

• Twitter is not just 18-24 year olds using the service as an SMS substitute.
• Older, professional (male) audiences are key Twitter users.
